Breastmilk Soap
There’s a reason you’ll hear many people, including pediatricians, telling you to put some breastmilk on baby’s rash, acne, cradle cap, in the eyes, and so on. Breast milk is not only the perfect source of nutrition for babies but also holds incredible benefits for the skin. Rich in antibodies, vitamins, and minerals, breast milk possesses unique healing properties that can soothe, nourish, and protect the skin.
One of the key benefits of breast milk for skin health is its moisturizing effect. The natural fats and oils present in breast milk help to hydrate and soften the skin, making it an excellent remedy for dry or irritated skin conditions such as eczema or dermatitis. Applying breast milk topically can provide immediate relief from itching and discomfort, while also promoting faster healing of damaged skin.
In addition to its moisturizing properties, breast milk also contains antibacterial and antifungal compounds that can help to prevent and treat various skin infections. The antibodies found in breast milk help to boost the immune system and fight off harmful bacteria and pathogens, making it an effective natural remedy for conditions such as diaper rash, acne, stretch marks, and minor cuts or scrapes.
Furthermore, breast milk contains special proteins and growth factors that promote skin regeneration and wound healing. Applying breast milk to minor wounds or abrasions can help to accelerate the healing process, reduce inflammation, and minimize scarring.
Overall, breast milk offers a gentle and natural solution for promoting skin health and healing.
We are very excited to offer Breastmilk Soap made from your own milk!
We have worked hard here at Fourever to perfect a gentle and cleaning breastmilk soap recipe that is safe and gentle for baby and you. We have conducted extensive research and selected the best oil combinations for this recipe to provide the best nourishment for your baby’s sensitive skin.
The soap making process is a tricky one when including breastmilk, as the lye process is exothermic in nature and can scorch the milk unless done correctly and carefully, keeping the lye as cool as possible during the chemical reaction to retain as much of the nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and benefits as possible. Not only that, but we have to stop the gelling process after pouring in order to keep the soap from turning brown, before finally letting it cure for 6 weeks. To say the least, this process is a labor of love. But we truly believe in the benefits of having a safe, nourishing, and gentle soap for your baby, and also you, free of unnecessary chemicals and harsh ingredients.
